P.Louise Secret Sinner Palette
Even though I haven’t used any of their products (until now), I’ve followed P.Louise Make Up Academy on Instagram for ages; this is a company that has remained true to their educational roots despite having made it big time, and I really like and appreciate the way this brands’ focus leans more towards unlocking an artists potential, rather than on pushing their products…plus, some of the make up looks they post are OUT OF THIS WORLD. Anyway, a couple of months ago, I was perusing the website and ended up getting a few products, one of which was this gorgeous palette; it had been a while since I had played around with make up, and I liked the versatility of the colours – neutral enough to play it safe, bright enough to push me out of my comfort zone and be a bit creative if I felt like it.
I didn’t have long to wait; delivery was super fast, and everything was packaged really well. Opening up the palette, I was very pleasantly surprised – I wasn’t prepared for how luxe it would be. Firstly, its large and heavy in the hands, but not bulky, annoying heavy, I mean luxurious, premium heavy; I suspect your shadows would be safe if you dropped the palette (I’m not going to try this though, I’m not crazy). Secondly, I was shocked to see how huge the pans are! I’d say they’re twice as big as your standard would be, so there’s no doubt that this palette is going to last. Thirdly, there’s a nice, big mirror in the lid, which is always appreciated when you occasionally do your make up sitting in bed.
Let me show you the swatches…
Addicted // Affair
Infatuation // Love Shy
Amore // In Lust
Velvet Kiss // Pleasure
Hooked // Dreamy
Rendezvous // Bow Down
Climax // Love Struck
S & M // Obsession
Idolize // Fling
There’s no doubt that these eyeshadows are worth purchasing – pigmented, easy to blend, and with minimal fallout (apart from a little bit with Climax – the yellow shade), this palette is perfect for everyone, from a make up novice wanting to learn a few tricks, to a pro MUA working on clients. Since I’ve had it, I’ve managed to create a few looks for the blog – some of which you’ve seen, and some that you’ll be able to see in the coming few weeks, but I have so many more ideas! It’s hard not to feel creative when you have something so versatile, so well-made in your hands – this is a palette that will accompany you as far as your imagination can take you.
See you soon,
KMK
